Prenatal ORION
Indications:
- Fetal malformations
- Positive family history*
- In cases with a positive family history, confirmation of the genetic etiology in proband /affected/index case is necessary
Where such confirmation is not available, the following can be opted for based on gestational age:
- Sequential testing: Proband followed by fetus OR
- Trio analysis: Parents plus fetus is recommended
- Patients with a prior identified genetic etiology:
- Copies of relevant genetic reports of patients evaluated at another centre will be required for review before prenatal testing. Samples of affected individual /parents may be required before proceeding towards prenatal analysis.
